We’re delighted to share that our ‘Hatch’ Eggshell Pendant Light was invited to be exhibited at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design.
The exhibition took place at the Podium, Jockey Club Innovation Tower, an iconic space designed by Zaha Hadid and home to the university’s renowned School of Design. Surrounded by forward-thinking ideas and a vibrant design community, it was the perfect setting to showcase Hatch — our ongoing exploration of eggshell as a design material.
2 April - 15 May 2025
Combining food waste with refined craftsmanship, Hatch transforms fragile eggshells into a poetic lighting piece. Each pendant light tells a story of contrast: strength and delicacy, utility and beauty, waste and worth. It’s a piece that reflects Yellowdot’s belief in material experimentation and cross-cultural design thinking — a philosophy that echoes the innovative spirit of PolyU.
We’re honored to be part of a platform that nurtures the next generation of designers, and grateful for the opportunity to share our work in a city that continues to inspire us.
