Chocolate

A dozen eggs merge into a single, shifting form, where individual shells dissolve into one continuous body. Drawing from Yellowdot’s signature use of eggshell sculptures and objects made from shells collected after consumption, beginning where nourishment ends. It transforms waste into a refined material language, revealing the hidden potential within the discarded. The clustered composition balances fragility and structure—each shell delicate alone, yet resilient in accumulation. Familiar yet subtly uncanny, the work reimagines the egg as a collective form shaped by chance, touch, and time. It also draws on the shared memory of chocolate eggs—playful, abundant, often gathered in multiples—here condensed into one gesture, where repetition becomes unity and the everyday object turns into a quiet monument of transformation.
