Since their meeting at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, they have fused their contrasting backgrounds to work coherently across disciplines. Interdisciplinary thinking and the confluence of opposing views are at the heart of the studio, where technology meets traditional crafts, logic meets emotions, art meets science, and East meets West to conceive fantastical new ideas with a sustainable approach toward the future.

Working from their studio in Hong Kong & Istanbul, they collaborate with artisans, industries, manufacturers & brands across Europe to Asia to translate meticulous ideas into production. The studio embraces cross-cultural & interdisciplinary thinking, taking in a diverse spectrum of projects - from product design to spatial design, design consultancy to independent experiments, transferring knowledge from one field to another, and redefining many categories through design.

Bodin Hon is a Chinese-American industrial designer and engineer who graduated cum laude from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan. In Italy, he was awarded the International Compasso d'oro for his innovative cookware design. Before entering the design field, he worked as a spacesuit & life-support system engineer at the Johnson Space Center after graduating from Rice University in Texas. With a detail-oriented & hands-on approach, he is adept at bringing future-oriented ideas and technologies to life in people-driven & poetic ways.

 

Dilara Kan is a Turkish artist and designer who studied at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan after graduating from the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in Istanbul. Dilara's practice is rooted in her astute eye for visual culture and appreciation of crafts. Dilara infuses her works with patterns from nature and vibrant colors. In addition, she continuously explores new materials and investigates production techniques. Having worked for art & interior studios in Milan, Istanbul & Hong Kong, she brings an artistic and creative touch to every aspect of a project.
